Christian Weller is an associate professor in the University of Massachusetts, Boston, Department of Public Policy and Public Affairs and a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress.
Much of Weller's academic research is in the area of pensions, Social Security, wealth inequality and asset development. He also works in the areas of macroeconomics, financial institutions and international finance and economic development.
Weller has been a senior economist at the Center for American Progress, an economist at the Economic Policy Institute and an AFL-CIO Research Fellow, all in Washington, D.C.
Weller received his master's degree and doctorate in economics from the University of Massachusets, Amherst. He received his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Konstanz. He is the topic leader of the EPRN Social Insurance research cluster.
