Daniel B. Cornfield is a sociology professor at Vanderbilit University where he also holds affiliate an appointments in political science.
His areas of research interest are work and occupations, labor markets, labor movements, labor-management relations and immigration.
Cornfield's current research examines the career paths of Nashville music professionals. His approach is a field study of how and why music professionals combine occupational roles, trade unionism, and entrepreneurialism as they pursue the American Dream
Cornfield received bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in sociology from the University of Chicago.
