Biography

David Neumark's picture

David Neumark, is an economics professor at the Univesity of California Irvine. His fields of research are labor economics and econometrics.

Neumark has done research on the minimum wage, labor markets, urban economics, the economics of aging, health economics.industrial organzation and finance. He is the co-author of a 2008 book, Minimum Wages.

Neumark is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a research fellow at IZA, Institute for the Study of Labor and a fellow at the Stanford University Center for the Study of Poverty and Inequality. He is also a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

Neumark received his bachelor's degree Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania and his master's and doctorate from Harvard.
