Diane Burton's picture

Diane Burton is an associate professor of human resource studies at Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

Burton describes herself as "an organizational sociologist working at the intersection of organizational theory, human-resource management and entrepreneurship."

Her research studies the interrelationship among individuals and organizations. She conducts her research "by collect[ing] original data and rely upon a combination of quantiative and qualitative methods including field-based interviews, surveys and archival data analysis.

Burton received her doctorate from Stanford University in sociology, master's degree in education from Harvard and her bachelor of science degree fom Carnegie Mellon University.
