Ellen Ernst Kossek is a Distinguished University Professor at Michigan State University's School of Human Resources & Labor Relations with a joint courtesy appointment in the management department.
Kossek is the author or co-author of eight books on subjects including diversity, work-life management and human resources. Her most recent book is CEO of Me: Creating a life that Works in the Flexible Job Age (2008, with Brenda A. Lautsch).
Kossek is associate director of the Center for Work, Family Health and Stress of the U.S. National Institutes of Health National Work, Family and Health Network. She also runs a work-family listserve that is international and has developed a website called the sustainable workforce.org.
Kossek received her doctorate from Yale University.
