Janice Fine is an assistant professor in the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University's New Brunswick campus. She is a member of the Labor and Employment Relations Association.
Her research delves into the demographics on immigrants in New Jersey, especially with regard to labor force, immigrant political and economic incorporation; strategies for collective action; forms of organization among immigrant workers; union, worker centers; community organizing, immigration reform; undocumented workers; low-wage immigrant workers; day laborers; labor issues; wages, worker safety and health; labor market conditions.
Fine wrote the book, Worker Centers: Organizing Communities at the Edge of the Dream.
Fine received her doctorate in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
