Lance Compa is a senior lecturer at Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Compa has been a fifth-grade teacher, a field organizer and Washington representative for the United Radio & Machine Workers of America and director of the Labor Law & Economic Research for the NAFTA Labor Secretariat.
Compa has written and edited books and contributed book chapters on workers' rights, human rights, trade unions, trade, international labor law as well as specialized journal articles, general interest magazine articles, papers, newspaper op-eds and reports.
He received his bachelor's degree in history from Fordham University and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. from Yale. He speaks English, Spanish and French.
