Ofer Sharone is an assistant professor of work and employment research and Mitsubishi Career Develolpment Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management.
His topics of interest and research include the job search, unemployment in Israel, layoffs, the sociology of work, economic sociology and work in the post-industrial California economy.
Sharone joined the Sloan School faculty in 2009, after receiving his doctorate in sociology at from the University of California, Berkeley. He also holds a juris doctor degree from Harvard Law School and has practiced international law in San Francisco and Japan.
