Paul Adler's picture

Paul S. Adler is a professor of management and organization at the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California, where he holds the Harold Quinton Chair in Business Policy.

He began his education in Australia and moved to France in 1974 and received his doctorate in economics and management there while working as a research eonomist for the French government.

Adler came to the United States in 1981, and before arriving at USC in 1991, he was affiliated with the Brookings Institution, Columbia University, the Harvard Business School and Stanford's School of Engineering.

Adler is the author, co-author and editor of numerous books. He edited The Oxford Handbook of Sociology and Organization Studies: Classical Foundations.

Co-authored material on EPRN by Adler (with Saul Rubinstein and Charles Heckscher) is a Sept. 16, 2011, Los Angeles Times op-ed, "Moving Beyond 'Blame the Teacher.'
