Peter B. Doeringer is a professor of economics at Boston University. He is the topic leader of the EPRN Regional Economic Development/Adjustment topic group.
Doeringer's research specialties include labor markets, industry economics, industrial relations, and regional economic development. His latest book, Startup Factories, examines the efficiency practices of new branch plants of U.S. and Japanese multinational firms.
He is a practicing labor arbitrator and member of the National Academy of Arbitrators.
Doeringer is a graduate of Harvard College and holds a doctorate in economics from Harvard University. He is the leader of the EPRN Regional Economic Development/Adjustment research cluster.
