Ronald G. Ehrenberg's picture

Ronald G. Ehrenberg is the Irving M. Ives Professor of Industrial and Labor Relations and Economics at Cornell University. He also is director of the Cornell Higher Education Research Institute.

A labor economist and coauthor of the textbook,(10th ed.), his recent research has focused on higher education issues.  Ehrenberg is a co-author of Educating Scholars: Doctoral Education in the Humanities (Princeton University Press, 2010).
Ehrenberg served as an elected member of the Cornell Board of Trustees from 2006-10. He received a governor's appointment as a State University of New York trustee for a 2009-13 term.

Ehrenberg received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Harpur College (SUNY Binghamton) in 1966, his master's and doctoral degrees in economics from Northwestern University in 1970.
