Rosemary Batt is the Alice Hanson Cook Professor of Women and Work at the Industrial and Labor Relations School, Cornell University. She is a member of the Labor and Employment Relations Association.
Batt's research interests include strategic human resource management, service-sector productivity and competitiveness; work organization and teams; and labor market analysis. She is co-author of the book, The New American Workplace: Transforming Work Systems in the United States (Cornell University Press).
Batt has written extensively on service-management strategies, the restructuring of the telecommunications-services industry and the financialization of American corporations.
She received her bachelor's degree in history from Cornell, her master's in anthropology from the University of Kentucky and her doctorate from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
